Description

Wagga Wagga Institute’s new build now has a striking Corten-inspired finish on its grey cladding sheets. The cost and installation demand for Corten steel presented the client with budget and lead time difficulties, our layered coating system on CFC excess panel format solved these hurdles. Our CXD process enabled us to work closely with our clients, listening to their requirements and preferences, and incorporating their feedback into the design to achieve the weathered metal look without the headache of using real steel. The finished product provided the ECOTONE WOW that our clients were hoping for.
The team took great satisfaction in transforming a raw CFC panelled facade to a surface finish that changed, with its layers of vivid tones and metallic lustres, from morning to afternoon depending on angles and light. Quite unique.
